One of the most common things we hear from new customers is that they had a window cleaner booked in the past and they simply didn't turn up when they were supposed to, or had suddenly just stopped coming or coming less frequently. In fact, some customers are more surprised that we actually arrived when said we would than anything else!
The day before we're due to complete your window clean, we'll send you a quick text message reminder to ensure windows are closed the following day and any back gates are left unlocked to allow us to clean the windows at the back of your property.
Also in your text message will be a unique link that you can click to manage your booking, add any notes for your window cleaner, or even order household essentials for free delivery from our Gleam Essentials range, which can be ordered up until 8am on the day of your clean, the cost simply being added to your invoice.
Our window cleaning team is on the road from 8am each day following a pre-optimised route around the jobs for the day, meaning they'll be with you between 8am and 4pm on the day of your window clean.
Whilst we can't always offer a more specific time, if you have a specific time requirement or would like a more up to date time estimate of when we'll be with you head over to our contact page to get in touch.
As an example, a normal 2 bed house will take aroud 20 minutes to complete, including cleaning frames and sills. This is about the minimum amount of time we'd spend on your window clean and obviously larger properties, properties with more complex access or higher numbers of windows will take longer to complete.
We allot extra time if required for a first clean, especially if the windows haven't been cleaned at your property for some time, it can take us longer to complete the first visit. Don't worry though, whilst many companies charge up to double the price for the first clean, we don't charge any extra for your first visit if you book a regular 4 or 8 weekly cleaning service. You can read more about this in our guide to how much window cleaning costs.
Whilst one-off cleans have their place, they key to year round gleaming windows, frames and sills is a regular 4 or 8 weekly service. This is because, even with the best will in the world, your first clean is only the starting point to bringing the shine of your windows back to life.
Stubborn or baked on marks to window frames and sills are often best dealt with on a regular cycle. When cleaned on a 4 weekly basis using our water-fed pole window cleaning method and ultra-purified water, all impurities are removed from the windows more often, making it harder for new dirt and grime to build back up.
Whilst skylights and Velux windows are fantastic ways to brighten up top floors of your house, due to their angle in the roof and exposure to the elements, they also attract more dirt and grime build up than any other window in your home, and they're also trickier to clean from ground level.
Some window cleaning companies class Velux windows as a function of a roof cleaning service rather than a window cleaning service. Whilst we don't exclude them, we do caveat this with we'll always do everything we can to fully clean them, however working from ground level using water-fed pole methods to reach roof level windows, it may take a few visits to get them fully sparkling depending on access.
As mentioned in our guide to booking a window clean, we only ever charge you after your clean is complete. No-one in our team (your window cleaner included) has access to any of your payment details, they simply tap a button in our dedicated app which automatically notifies you the window clean is complete, who completed it and then processes your payment automatically, sending you a receipt for your records a little while after we complete the appointment.
