Paving slab cleaning

One of the most common materials used in patio construction, concrete slabs look great when they're new, but day to day, grime, the effects of the weather as well as growth of green algae and lichen can mean they no longer look their best.

Patio slab cleaning from Team Gleam combines two cleaning processes. Firstly, we'll pressure clean the whole area using a flat surface cleaner (FSC). Then we'll apply a softwashing chemical known as Sodium Hypochlorite which will kill the algae growth and sanitise the surface leaving it cleaner for longer.

Lastly, and after around 30 minutes for the softwash to do it's thing, we'll pressure clean the area again leaving slabs looking your patio refreshed and your slabs looking new again

Cleaning of patios, slabs and block paving

Block paving cleaning, re-sanding and sealing

Block paving is often used in driveways and is a more decorative paving option with a range of different patterns in which they can be laid. Sand is then brushed into the gaps between the bricks to complete the surface.

Our block paving cleaning service is similar to cleaning of slabs, however as this process will likely remove the old sand from the paving joints, once complete we will re-sand the area with high quality kiln-dried sand.

Lastly, a professional use block paving sealer in either matt or gloss finish can then be applied over all of the paving, stabilising the sand in the joints and helping protect the blockwork from new dirt buildup.

Tarmac cleaning & restoration

A common material for hardstandings, over time asphalt can lose its original colour, attract moss growth and start to develop hairline cracks. Before resorting to a replacement asphalt drive, our cleaning and restoration service may be able to help..

Using a combination of specialist detergent, chemical and low pressure cleaning, we can strip the surface of dirt, moss and algae.

Once fully cleaned, we can then apply a specialist sealer that will not only help restrengthen the underlying surface, but also restore the original crisp colour of freshly laid tarmac.
